EATINGWELL is a Media Sponsor of the 2010-2011 Mother Earth News Fairs, a dynamic mix of products and information that offer our partners an opportunity for outstanding brand exposure. The first in the series of sustainable-living fairs was held September 25-26, 2010 (www.motherearthnews.com/fair) at Seven Springs Mountain Resort near Pittsburgh with additional fairs slated for this year in California, Washington and Pennsylvania. Mother Earth News, the largest and longest-running publication about green lifestyles, has teamed up with the leading eco-events producer to develop this informative series of consumer events promoting healthy lifestyles, do-it-yourself projects and sustainable living. Reaching thousands of health-conscious influencers passionate about food and the environment, each Mother Earth News Fair provides practical knowledge and helpful resources in a fun-filled atmosphere featuring sessions about healthy eating, organic gardening, renewable energy and natural health.

Participating advertisers will be awarded a 10’x10’ booth in a high-traffic area and select EATINGWELL partners can sample product, distribute promotional material and be a part of cooking demonstrations. Mother Earth News Fairs are promoted extensively in-book, online at EatingWell.com, via EatingWell.com newsletters, in Mother Earth News, across all five Ogden Publications’ sister magazines and on local media (newspapers, radio and television).

Kids in the Kitchen

EATINGWELL is proud of its ongoing partnership as an Educational and Program Supporter of The Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) Kids in the Kitchen program. This multi-faceted initiative is designed to help communities empower today’s youth by educating them about better nutritional choices for a healthy lifestyle. Hands-on events and activities in local communities are key elements to the success of this popular program in more than 225 communities. The AJLI also provides guidelines and materials to further support community activities and events. EATINGWELL offers participants the opportunity to sample product and distribute promotional material at a grassroots level throughout the year as part of this important educational partnership. The impact of Kids in the Kitchen events is further extended through in-book and online components.

Divabetic

A cause with pizzazz, Divabetic is a diabetes outreach organization designed to promote a positive attitude and help build esteem among people living with diabetes. Their theme and identity are based on motivation as well as encouraging early detection and prevention. Each Divabetic event receives between 750-1,000 health-conscious women who are taking significant steps to improve their health. It’s the perfect marketing venue for EATINGWELL advertisers. A percentage of the sales of all Divabetic fundraising events support the work of various diabetes-related charities, including The Diabetes Center of New Jersey, The Stroke of Hope Foundation and The Charles Ray III Diabetes Association.

Basin Harbor Club

EATINGWELL offers select advertisers an exclusive opportunity to reach a health-minded, active demographic through its exclusive partnership with the renowned Basin Harbor Club (www.basinharbor.com) in Vermont. This celebrated, century-old, 700-acre resort on the shores of Lake Champlain offers a Wellness Center for fitness and nutrition, spa therapies, a championship golf course, an outdoor pool, boating, tennis, biking and trail hiking. Well known for its dining that offers fresh, local ingredients, the Basin Harbor Club caters to the health-conscious with a sampling of menu offerings that feature recipes developed by EATINGWELL. Plus, as a family resort, its Kid’s Camp offers a variety of children’s programs.

Advertisers can have the opportunity to sample product and distribute promotional material (including recipe cards for club menu dishes featuring advertiser ingredients) via a special, customized goody bag upon check-in.
